M.J. (Johan) Noteboom

In addition to his law studies, Johan Noteboom also successfully completed the HEAO (management economics and law). From 1996 he worked at the Local District Court as a (senior) court secretary.

In 2003, Johan switched to the legal profession. On January 1, 2008, Johan became a partner and therefore co-owner of DNA-Legal in Gorinchem. Johan has successfully completed the INSOLAD-Grotius specialization course in Insolvency Law and is a member of INSOLAD, the Dutch association for insolvency lawyers.

On November 4, 2022, Johan completed this PhD. The subject of his PhD was: the equality of creditors (paritas creditorum).

As of January 1, 2024, DNA-Legal merged with our office in Dordrecht.

Passion for his clients

Johan often assists entrepreneurs at crucial moments in their lives. He cares deeply about the fate of every entrepreneur he assists. The passion for the customer translates into a great drive to achieve results. Johan is honest in his analysis in advance and wants to avoid giving guarantees that cannot be fulfilled. Johan is at his best in complex disputes where the parties no longer see a way out.

Additional activities

Johan is an author at Wolters Kluwer (Green Series Bankruptcy Law). He develops courses at NCOI in the field of Property Law and Insolvency Law. Johan is also a member of the Bankruptcy Committee in the Rotterdam district and of the editorial staff of the Tijdschrift voor Curators.

Johan can not only be found at our office in Dordrecht, but he also works from a visiting location in Gorinchem to help local entrepreneurs.
